Four Corners Cultural Programme
Four Corners Cultural Programme (4CCP) works to preserve and further develop the unique, peaceful coexistence between four different peoples in the Haydom area of Tanzania.
We support locally led development rooted in each community’s own culture and values. Our work includes, among other things:
- dialogue between groups and the preservation of culture and values
- programmes for gender equality and youth empowerment
- water and sanitation projects
- legal aid for vulnerable groups
- climate adaptation projects
- accountability and management of public resources
- entrepreneurship training and the establishment of micro finance groups
In the time ahead, donations will go to initiatives that strengthen the programme’s sustainable future. More small, regular givers – together with one time gifts – can help the programme shift its focus from donor dependence to a more self driven model, where the local community itself stands stronger.
